Wrapping up International Women’s Month with a reflection on our work in development and the impact of inclusion in all communities. We celebrated International Women's Day on the 8th of March, which originally started from labor movements in North America and Europe, and was later adopted by several countries. The 2024 UN theme is “Invest in women: Accelerate progress” which emphasises investing in women’s health, education, leadership, and economic empowerment.

We were commissioned by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to carry out an end-line study of the Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund (ZRBF) programme. MDS kicked off the project with the training of data collectors this early July 2022. Following the successful training of the data collectors, fieldwork commenced on the 13th of July and is expected to run for four weeks, depending on the different sample sizes for the districts.

We currently hold a Long-Term Arrangement (LTA) for the provision of consultancy services in conducting Country Programme Evaluations (CPEs), Impact Evaluations, and Multi-country and Country-specific Programmatic Evaluations in United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). We are looking for evaluation experts with extensive experience in Country Programme Evaluations (CPEs), Impact Evaluations, and Multi-country and Country-specific Programmatic Evaluations. Our areas of interest are:

Alcohol, drug, and substance abuse is a growing concern in Zimbabwe, particularly among young people. While there was some information on the prevalence and consequences of substance abuse, there is a lack of understanding around the factors that influence behavior, as well as the influencers and facilitators of the behavior.
