Description of Project: the assignment involved undertaking a rapid assessment of the status of gender and energy in Zimbabwe, taking into account the policy environment, legal frameworks, existing strategies and existing initiatives and programmes, including best practices. From this information, MDS developed a policy brief and 3 fact sheets on universal access for women to energy, in particular renewable energy. This will enable ZWRCN to offer context specific and relevant gender and energy information to the relevant players and stakeholders targeted by the project and develop appropriate tools for advocacy and communication information.

Tasks: Tasks for the assignment included conducting literature review, Key Informant interviews to inquire information from policy to program level to establish a situational analysis of the program.
